Irvine Explosions Attorney

Orange County Burn Injury Lawyers

Explosions and fires that occur on construction sites, in industrial buildings and at other job sites have the potential to cause catastrophic and fatal injuries to workers and other people who are on the property. When these explosions are the result of negligence, such as the failure to properly store hazardous chemicals or defective machinery, property owners and other responsible parties may be held accountable.

At the law office of Fernandez & Lauby LLP, our attorneys provide representation for individuals who have been injured or who have lost a loved one in accidents caused by the negligence of others. We help our clients pursue compensation for medical bills, lost wages, pain and suffering and continuing long-term care. Our firm looks beyond workers' compensation benefits in order to get the maximum benefits possible for injury victims.

Personal Injury Representation From an Irvine Explosions Lawyer

Fires and explosions on construction sites and industrial sites may be caused by a variety of factors that include:

  • Hazardous chemicals that are improperly stored or transported
  • Electrical fires
  • Automobile fires
  • Gas main explosions
  • Propane tank explosions
  • Improperly installed furnaces and other machinery

In addition to severe burns and disfigurement, injuries from fires and explosions on Southern California construction sites may also cause broken bones, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries that require long-term medical care and rehabilitation. Often this care, which can include reconstructive surgery, can be very painful and incredibly expensive.

Trial Victory -- Fernandez & Lauby attorney, Brian Mankin recently prevailed at trial on an employee's individual unpaid wage claim in San Bernardino County Superior Court. The employee claimed that he was required to work more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, but was only paid for 40 hours per week. He also claimed that he was given inaccurate wage statements. The employer claimed that it did not owe any additional wages. Mankin filed a lawsuit for failure to pay minimum wages and overtime wages, as well as failure to provide breaks and accurate wage statements. Following trial, the court awarded the employee his unpaid wages, interest and various penalties, plus the employer was required to pay approximately $60,000 in attorneys fees and costs to Fernandez & Lauby. If you were denied wages, misclassified, not given all required breaks or have any other concerns about your pay or working conditions, feel free to call, or email, the employment law team at Fernandez & Lauby for a free consultation. Most unpaid wage cases are handled by the firm on a contingency basis, meaning you don't pay unless you win.
